The Best Cellulite Exercises
The term cellulite typically refers to a condition (primarily affecting women) that causes the skin to seem dimpled and distorted. This dimpled skin occurs in most women in the lower body region, including the legs, abdomen, and hips. Cellulite is also described as orange peel syndrome and cottage cheese skinThere is no fully understood cause for cellulite, but some doctors have concluded that metabolism, genetics, hormones, and skin structure are all factors that can lead to the formation of cellulite.
Many women find cellulite unattractive and want to get rid of it as soon as possible. This sometimes leads people to believe plastic surgery is the solution to getting rid of cellulite. However, a healthier lifestyle can help reduce and eliminate it. One lifestyle change that you can make relatively easily is to do some effective "cellulite exercises".
The Invisible Chair
The first exercise involves leaning with your back against a wall and sliding downwards as though you were sitting in an invisible chair. Go down as far as you can possibly go (until your legs bend at about 90 degrees), and stay in that position for couple for as long as you can. Repeat this a few times everyday, trying to go slightly longer each time. This is an effective exercise for that you can easily do at home or anywhere else; helping to strenghten and tone your things and buttox.
Leg Lifts
Leg lifts are another great cellulite exercise. To do this, you need to get down on your hands and knees. Keep your back as straight as possible and lift your leg straight in the air. While you are doing this, extend the opposite arm of the leg you are lifting out, also straight. Hold this position for a few seconds. Then, slowly lower your legs and arm do the same for the other side.
The Bicycle
This bicycle exercise may a bit more challenging, especially if you don't get regular exercise. To do this cellulite exercise, lay face up on the floor and put your hands behind your head. Lift one of your legs into the air and then let it back down. Do the same for the other leg and keep alternating for as long as you can.
For an easier exercise, sit in a chair and grab a pillow. Put the pillow in between your knees and keep your feet on the ground. Squeeze the pillow as hard as you can with you knees and hold it for a few seconds.
Pillow Squeeze
Remember not to push yourself too hard. If you can't perform each exercise well, keep trying, and when your body is used to exercising regularly, you will eventually be able to do the exercises you want. Work at your own pace and you will get the results you want.
Cardio
Regular cardio exercises are without a doubt the most effective type of exercise for diminishing the appearance of cellulite. Going for walks, riding a bike, and jogging are some great activities you can do to get rid of that dimply skin. Other examples of effective exercises are: swimming, yoga, and calisthenics. Cardio in general is great because it improves your overall health as well as helping you lose weight which can dramatically reduce cellulite appearance.
These exercises can help anyone obtain a healthy lifestyle and get rid of cellulite. Unfortunately, you cannot do exercise alone to lessen the appearance of cellulite, eating healthy for example is also part of a healthy lifestyle. Make sure that you drink plenty of water to keep skin elastic and to eat a proper and nutritious diet to help you on your way to a cellulite-free life.
